What Makes These The Best Scones?

Perfect texture. These scones are tender and flaky. The golden exterior is just barely crisp while the insides are fluffy.  Flavor. You get a bit of blueberry, a hint of lemon and a touch of maple!

Combine Dry Ingredients

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add cubes of cold butter.

Work The Butter In

With your hands, work the butter into the dry ingredients. It will look like coarse breadcrumbs.

Mix Wet Ingredients

Mix the wet ingredients in a bowl, then add to the butter mixture.

Add Blueberries

Gently mix them in until just combined.

Pat Into a Round

Pat the dough into a circle.

Cut Into Triangles

With a sharp knife, but the dough into triangles.


Bake the scones until light golden.

Add Glaze

Make a simple vanilla glaze and drizzle onto the scones.

Dig In!
