Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add cubes of cold butter.
With your hands, work the butter into the dry ingredients. It will look like coarse breadcrumbs.
Mix the wet ingredients in a bowl, then add to the butter mixture.
Gently mix them in until just combined.
Pat the dough into a circle.
With a sharp knife, but the dough into triangles.
Bake the scones until light golden.
Make a simple vanilla glaze and drizzle onto the scones.
