Spicy Ranch Taco Sauce

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read our disclosure policy.

This simple ranch taco sauce has a spicy kick and oodles of flavor! You can add it to tacos, burritos, flautas, and more. I’ve even been known to dip slices of birria pizza in it. Why not?

Is it just me, or is it super satisfying to dip your food into sauces? Ever since I was a kid, I couldn’t resist dipping everything from flautas and burritos – even pizza! I just loved the layers of flavor. Now as a grown up, I treat myself to quesabirria tacos with dipping sauce. Or ranch dip like this one, which is incredibly tasty with tacos. Childhood dreams really do come true folks.

This spicy ranch dipping sauce comes together in minutes and only requires a handful of basic ingredients. The “heat” comes from the addition of adobo sauce, but you can also use your favorite hot sauce (I recommend Cholula). Mix everything together, let the sauce chill in the fridge for an hour to develop its flavors, then start dipping.

This recipe was inspired by the Taco Bell “Gordita Crunch” sauce. If you want to make Taco Bell at home, try my copycat Cheesy Gordita Crunch Tacos recipe.

How to Make Ranch Taco Sauce

There are literally only 3 steps needed here:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let flavors meld together.
  3. Serve with your favorite salad, tacos or as a dip!

That’s it!

Ways to Use It

Now that you have your handy dandy sauce ready to go, the question is how to use it. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Tacos & Burritos – Serve it on the side with quesabirria tacos, ground beef tacos, or carne asada tacos. I also have a recipe for Copycat Taco Bell Gordita Crunch tacos coming up that is amazing with this sauce.
  • Quesadillas & Mulitas – You can use it with a simple cheese quesadilla, birria quesadillas or even birria mulitas.
  • Sweet Potato Fries – Make a batch of crispy sweet potato fries and serve them with this sauce as a dip.
  • Salad – You can also serve this ranch sauce on top of salad.

How Long Will It Last?

You can store this sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Some separation may occur so just give it a good stir before using it.
